Located in Cleveland, Ohio and serving customers nationwide, ZEN Industries Inc. is a manufacturer of premium ductwork and fittings for Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional HVAC construction projects.

Founded in 1999, ZEN Industries Inc. may seem a newcomer to the manufacturing scene. ZEN Industries was founded by Dan Zenisek, owner of American Mine Door, a respected manufacturer of mechanically operated ventilation control doors and mine props for underground mines.

Incorporated in 1906, American Mine Door boasts nearly a century of experience as a custom manufacturer with a dependable line of heavy-duty mining products. Though a new venture into HVAC duct and sheet metal fabrication, ZEN Industries brings with it a heritage of manufacturing experience, quality control, and exceptional customer service.

Our Dedicated Crew

Kim Zenisek, President and Administrative Management

Kim Zenisek holds a Bachelor of Professional Arts from Kent State University and has been the President of ZEN Industries, Inc. and American Mine Door since 2006.  Her duties include Office Administration, Sales, Purchasing, Bookkeeping, and Human Resources.

In 2000, Kimberly and her husband Daniel Zenisek purchased The American Mine Door Company, moving operations several times in their first four years of ownership as the need for manufacturing space continued to grow.

In 2003, ZEN Industries, Inc. was established to complement the manufacturing abilities of American Mine Door by branching into custom and pre-fab HVAC fabrication.  Today a staff of 35 continues to meet the growing demands for ZEN services.

Dan Zenisek, Owner

After graduation from Kent State University in 1988, Daniel went to work for a large automotive manufacturing company as a Quality Control Manager. Within 3 years he was promoted to Manufacturing Manager of this 100-employee plant. Dan's responsibilities included supervision and direction off all manufacturing personnel and quality directives, as well as plant efficiencies and process improvements.  

After 10 years Dan advanced to another employer as a QS 9000 Management Representative, resulting in the company being awarded its first 0 non-conformance audit.  Trained in Six Sigma, Black Belt and Lean Manufacturing techniques, Dan's expertise in these areas continues to help ZEN Industries grow into one of the most efficient, state-of-the-art fabrication and custom manufacturing facilities anywhere.

Ed Ebner, Senior Project Manager

Mr. Ebner comes well qualified to help ZEN accommodate their expanding customer base. A brief look at his work history shows:

• More than 18 years experience in the HVAC/sheet metal business.
• Experience assisting architects and general contractors in budget pricing and HVAC design for pre-construction costs.
• HVAC design and ductwork layout.
• Project management, including estimating plan and spec projects.
• Purchasing of raw materials and equipment for HVAC manufacture.

Dale Pinto, Operations Manager

Dale Pinto, Operations Manager for ZEN Industries, brings over 23 years of experience in HVAC production, fabrication, and installations to the table. Dale heads the manufacturing and production departments. Some of dale's responsibilities include: responsible for all production employees, plant production efficiencies, quality and workforce skill set training programs. Dale works closely with all departments and is a valuable team member of ZEN Industries. Dale's commitment to the industry combined with his vast experience is a key, integral element that allows ZEN Industries to stand apart from the competition.

Bob Chorman, Plant Engineer

Bob Chorman bring a unique skill-set to our company, with over 40 years in the engineering and design field. Bob is proficient with engineering and design of HVAC systems, electrical controls, plc systems, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems. With our engineering and design capabilities, we are capable of tackling a vast amount of projects within many industries. This gives our customers a competitive advantage using ZEN Industries for single sourcing their project requirements.

Bob has been a valuable employee of our company from the inception, and has become a great resource for our customers.

Gary Szymczak, Plant Manager

Gary brings with him over 40 years of management and fabrication experience. Gary is ultimately responsible for the entire facility and all employees. With Gary's background, we are capable of tackling a diverse amount of machining and fabricating projects.

Gary is the chief estimator of all heavy fabrications and machine work that goes through our plant. Gary's experience gives us the confidence to tackle almost any complex machining and fabrication projects.

Matt Stankiewicz, Shop Foreman

ZEN Industries' Shop Foreman Matt Stankiewicz brings with him 20 years of experience in residential and commercial HVAC ductwork and equipment installation, including 10 years as a fabrication shop foreman. Starting out as a parts runner and moving his way up the ranks from field personnel to a shop leader is an example of Matt's commitment to growth in the industry. 

Melissa, Accounting

Melissa holds an MBA with a Finance focus and a B.S. in Accounting.  She has over 4 years of combined public and corporate accounting experience, which includes a year of experience within the construction industry.
